01. A reintroduction

If you’ve been following along with all things Eleanor Leftwich since the beginning, you know that everything - the clothes, the collections, the collaborations - began as simply wearing and sharing pieces on Instagram. I posted Edits which were curated outfits that included my daily uniform, fantastical vintage pieces, and resale treasures. After taking a hiatus on Edits while I developed the last few collections, I’m so excited to reintroduce them in a whole new way. From now on, you can look forward to seasonally curated Edits featuring clothing from the collections, sometimes put together by me, sometimes put together by friends (another thing I’m excited to share with you soon!), and sometimes put together by those in the industry I look up to. Now without further ado, I hope you enjoy The Fall Edit featuring pieces from the FW24 collection!

02. The inspiration

With cooler weather quickly approaching, school getting back into swing, and the ever looming horizon of the holidays within sight, I wanted this collection to see you through all the events and occasions coming up during the months ahead. Each collection starts with spreading all sorts of fabrics across my kitchen table (though I recently moved into my own studio space - yay!) and slowly putting together my favorites in a complimentary way. My goal is to create pieces that not only mix and match in each collection, but that I know will easily pair with past collections and even future collections. Longevity, continuity, and versatility are always top of mind as I know my clients are investing with me financially, but even more so in themselves when they feel confident in what they’re wearing.

“It was so special to shoot this collection on our family’s farm. Such an intersection of two of my passions!”

03. How I’m wearing these pieces this fall

This fall, I’ll be pairing the cashmere sweaters with everything from the Ellis pants to my Filson overalls (if you’re new here, aside from being a designer, I also operate our 5th generational family farm with my husband and his family). After all of it selling last winter, I’m so excited to be offering a larger assortment as I live in cashmere basically year-round, but especially during the fall and winter months being from Minnesota. The knits are so easy to dress up with tweed pants but also run errands casually with denim. I regularly wear them even in the field for work as does my husband with the new men’s cashmere. This season, I’ve got my eye on chocolate brown Manolo Blahnik maysales for this season and also a new Savette Symmetry bag which I know will be the perfect accoutrement to the entire collection!
