“My Husband calls me a Hoarder. I prefer Collector.”

Like many women, I wear many hats (not all of which are designer): mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, farmer, and business owner. When not managing Eleanor Leftwich, our family’s multi-generational farm, or chasing after my four children, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt (for vintage finds, that is). Eleanor Leftwich was originally created to share the joy of getting dressed every day, but soon morphed into a platform to help others build a beautiful (and sustainable) wardrobe of sophisticated but easy to wear pieces, or what I call, The Uniform. I hope you’ll join us as we live life in and beyond the uniform!

The Ethos

Eleanor Leftwich offers versatile, heirloom-quality pieces crafted in small batches by a women-led factory in Chicago, using premium fabrics from Italian, French, and English mills. Inspired by vintage fashion and a commitment to quality over quantity, the collections seamlessly transition from professional settings to everyday life.

The Vision

Eleanor's philosophy centers on empowering women to embrace their personal style confidently, advocating for investment in enduring wardrobe staples that can be cherished for years to come. Her mission is to create pieces that offer versatility, continuity across collections, and affordable luxury. This is slow fashion, done the right way—ethical, intentional, and built to last.

Our Cashmere Sweater: The Vision of Eleanor Leftwich

The Core

At its core, Eleanor Leftwich is about dressing the woman who does it all—with style that never tries too hard and a belief that elegance isn’t reserved for special occasions. It’s a mindset, a way of moving through life with grace, ease, and quiet confidence.

an insight to OUR PREORDER MODEL

Why We Pre-Order

As a small designer who values sustainability and quality fashion, pre-orders help us design responsibly. They allow for accurate fabric orders, reduce overproduction, let me incorporate your feedback (which I sincerely do my best to do), and keep margins well below industry standards by avoiding the pressure of excess inventory.

Production & Shipping Timeline

Typically, pre-orders arrive 6-8 weeks after ordering. Once you order, we produce every piece of clothing here in the U.S. Your pieces are made in either Chicago or L.A. then shipped to my studio where my sister and I (usually along with my mom and kids!) pack them and ship them to you.

Order Updates

Each individual product page will have a shipping estimate within the Shipping & returns section. I also frequently post about order updates on Instagram, and you can fins me at @eleanorleftwich and @eleanorleftwichcollection. Lastly, for specific updates, styling advice, or general questions, feel free to email me directly at eleanor@eleanorleftwich.com.
