Eleanor Shirt

I recently had to go to jury duty, and was not looking forward to it. I had an Eleanor shirt I had worn the week prior that needed to go to the dry cleaner, but I threw it on because I knew in a day of civic duty, I would feel comfortable, cool, look polished and not have to think about what I was wearing. I live in San Antonio, and had to walk multiple blocks from parking to the courthouse. The shirt kept me cool, and didn’t rumple or wrinkle or betray the 100 degree day (with 98% humidity). In fact, later that day, I chose to keep the shirt on and change into cotton shorts for a walk outside - it was that cooling and comfortable I didn’t want to take it off. Also, I got picked for jury duty. They too thought I looked polished and like one to make sound decisions. ;)

Okay, if what you’ve read so far doesn’t convince you, how about this. I’ve purchased over 12 white button down shirts in the last year on a quest to find the right one - from designer to classics to up and coming contemporary brands. None individually were as much as the Eleanor, but together they are exponentially more expensive. I would throw away all 12 in a minute for 1 of these Eleanor shirts. No one has nailed the cut, fabric, weight and CRISPNESS yet silkiness of the button down quite like this. These shirts do run long, which is great as they work tucked in, not, half tucked… or even untucked an hour after you decided to be tucked, which most shirts couldn’t pull off if their life depended on it!

They are also pleasantly roomy, I am used to being an 8 in many designers but take a S in this top.

Well done, Eleanor! I wanted to make sure everyone reading these reviews, trying to decide if it’s worth it - it is! I just ordered my second.

Absolutely love my Eleanor shirt! Beautiful fabric and classic style. I would say it runs a bit large. I’m XS , 5’2” 120 lbs. Maybe petites for ELC someday??!!

The fabric is amazing! It is lightweight and very comfortable. The button placement is also perfection. I wish I bought in multiple colors!

Pure luxury. I wear this top probably once a week and it’s so chic yet simple. I recommend sizing down if in between sizes. Also a note the sleeves are more like bracelet length but this is my preference as it gives me more styling options.

Just like the shirt dress, this became a staple in my fall wardrobe. The fabric is a dream, and the brown and white stripes matched with almost everything. Great length and generous cut - size down if you like a more fitted shirt. I prefer the slightly oversized look for button downs so it was perfect!
