Named after Eleanor herself, this shirt dress will be a workhorse in your wardrobe. Easy to dress up or down, made in Italian fabrics, and with pockets to stash a lipstick makes it effortlessly chic with endless styling opportunities. Pair with a Mac Blazer for an easy layered look or wear it loose at the beach over a swimsuit. 

Italian composition of 67% cotton, 25% polyamide, 8% elastane from Thomas Mason. Fully lined. Available for Resort 24 in blue stripe, orange stripe, yellow stripe, and multi-color stripe. Made in Chicago.

The Eleanor Shirt Dress is meant to be the utmost flexible and does not have designated belt loops, meaning it’s easy to wear with the matching sash or without. Want a cinched look? Use the sash to accentuate your waist. Prefer an easy breezy look? Ditch the sash and no one will be the wiser that it ever came with one. Two looks in one which is a favorite justification when shopping! For brand size guidance, XXS fits most 00, XS fits most 0-2, S fits most 4-6, M fits most 8-10, L fits most 12-14, XL fits most 16-18, 2XL fits most 20-22, 3XL fits most 24-26.

An anything but basic basic!

Oh gosh, I adore this dress! The fabric is so, so lovely and soft to the touch and it drapes beautifully. I find the cut to be generous, but not overwhelming. At 5'6", the length falls roughly to my ankles (similar to what as it is shown in the EL website photos). I will probably have it hemmed slightly, but I love that tailoring it to personal preference is an option.

This is my second EL purchase (the other being a Mac blazer) but definitely not my last! :)

Classic beauty

We all know the excellence of the fabric and the quality of the construction, so I’ll focus on fit. I’m generally an 8 in fitted tops, with broad shoulders and short arms. The small fits like a dream. And at 5’4” this is a solid maxi length but not so long I need to hem it.

Amazing Striped Shirt Dress

This. Is. The. Shirt. Dress. The sizing was great- if I had gone smaller, then the shoulders would not have lined up properly, so fit recommendation was good. I look forward to years of re-wearing this item. I have enjoyed every purchase so far- ELC is super! The quality IS exactly what you have heard of- spoiling us over and over again.

Gorgeous, timeless piece!

This dress is beautifully made, and the fabric was stunning. I wore it at work and had a colleague rub my arm and noted how lovely it is. Like the classic shirt, this piece is versatile and fantastically constructed. I cannot wait to wear it for seasons/years to come! For reference, I'm 5'11" and between a size 10/12 with a fairly large bust, and find the medium comfortable with plenty of room in the arms and bust.
