The Jackie Shirt Dress exists because the Jackie Shirt sold out and you asked for more. It's a tailored take on our signature Eleanor Shirt Dress, cut from the same Thomas Mason cotton our shirts are known for. Dress it up or down, and keep a lipstick in the pocket. Pair it with a blazer or a knit for an easy layered look. It comes with a detachable matching sash and no belt loops, so you decide where (or whether) to tie it.

The Jackie Shirt Dress fits true to size and is designed to be as flexible as possible and does not have designated belt loops, meaning it’s easy to wear with the matching sash or without. Want a cinched look? Use the sash to accentuate your waist. Prefer an easy breezy look? Ditch the sash and no one will be the wiser that it ever came with one. Two looks in one, which is a favorite justification when shopping! For brand size guidance, XXS fits most 00, XS fits most 0-2, S fits most 4-6, M fits most 8-10, L fits most 12-14, XL fits most 16-18, 2XL fits most 20-22, 3XL fits most 24-26.     Classic

    This is a beautiful classic shirt dress. I ordered my true size medium where I order a S in the Eleanor dress. I can’t decide which one I like better, this Jackie dress definitely feels a little more formal workwear to me. Lovely and classic.

    Beautiful fabric and cut

    Beautiful fabric and cut. I had to return the dress as it was too small (my own error, I originally ordered an XS) but am ordering a small in another remaining color. Timeless and classic.

    Great shirt dress

    Loved the tailored top half- sized up one from the Eleanor. This would be a great fit if I wasn’t pregnant. Wouldn’t button over the belly. Will buy again once my body isn’t fluctuating so much.

    Best for straight body shapes?

    I LOVE a shirtdress, which is typically the best shape for my body. Originally I tried the Eleanor, but it was much too much fabric for my 5'3" self, and swallowed me up. An EL mega-fan suggested I try the Jackie, which is more streamlined. Like the Eleanor, the pinstripe fabric itself was absolutely gorgeous, the Jackie did indeed feel more streamlined, and both the arm length and overall length looked better on me. What left me bummed is that the Jackie did not have enough curves to it. On me, it looked like I was wearing a long man's shirt or pajamas with a belt, rather than a dress made for a woman. I could cinch the waist with the belt, but even in the time I was trying it on, I constantly had to adjust how the fabric laid above the belt. Some clothes work better on curvy bodies and some on straight bodies, and the Jackie falls into the latter. I think an Eleanor made in petite proportions would be ideal for me. Trying to manifest it into existence!
