Spring Shell

Knit in LA in a facility well known for luxury brands and crafted from a beautiful Italian blend of merino wool, cashmere, and silk, you'll reach for this time after time.
Fine gauge Italian blend of 35% cashmere, 35% merino, 30% silk. Knit in Los Angeles.
The shell fits true to size. For brand size guidance, XS fits most 0-2, S fits most 4-6, M fits most 8-10, L fits most 12-14, XL fits most 16-18, 2XL fits most 20-22.
Shipping: Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.
Returns: Returns are accepted within 7 days of receipt by emailing us here for a full refund minus a $10 return shipping fee. Exchanges are free. Any sale items can also be returned within 7 days, but for store credit only.

I am a newbie to this brand so I am very cautious about ordering. That said, the two items I have ordered have not disappointed at all. First was a formal jacket and the second piece was this shell to wear underneath. I am impressed by the quality and feel of the fibers. I will certainly continue to build my wardrobe with EL.

Every time I wear these shells, I feel comforted. How many luxe, chic items can you say that about? Not a lot unless they’re Eleanor Leftwich. Bring back these knits in multiple colors, please! I love them!

This sleeveless sweater is everything you would expect from EL—refined, timeless, and impeccably made. The cashmere and wool blend is exceptionally fine, with a smooth, almost weightless feel that drapes beautifully. The cut is precise and flattering, hugging in the right places without clinging. It layers effortlessly under a blazer (my uniform) or stands strong on its own. A quiet luxury staple that proves subtle sophistication never goes out of style.

Excluding the amazing shorts, these are my favorite item from Summer 2025. I bought all five colors and am so glad I did. For similar quality and fit, I could have easily spent >$1,000 on each of these knits if I had purchased them somewhere else. The quality here with ELC beats, if not exceeds, what I could buy elsewhere. The blue color really pops and the neutral colors work with all of my outfits. I live in California; with the warm 80s and 90 degree summer days, I find myself reaching for these on a near daily basis. Bravo!
