As seasoned ELC clients will know, I truly value and do my best to incorporate your feedback on the styles and fit of pieces as I am able. One such piece of feedback I have received over and over and over is “There needs to be a skirt.” Up to this point, I either hadn’t found a fabric that I felt was just right or the timing had just been off…that is until now. There’s a first time for everything, and I couldn’t be happier that the Jess Skirt is our first foray into this closet staple. Named for a previous nanny, turned full time farm employee, of ours that is near and dear to our heart, the Jess Skirt is made of the most divine French Lace in two colors, Blanc and Noir (but the same fabric is also available in our classic Dunie Shorts). The fabric was sourced from an exclusive family owned mill in France that has historically worked with some of the large design houses, so I was beyond excited to work with them. Other than the lace, the collection is filled with a large run of new eyelets that are absolutely timeless and a few bold new stripes and patterns that are eye-catching, but comfortable as always.
