01. Defrosting

After what has seemed like one of the wettest, coldest, and snowiest winters in a long time, I am slowly starting to see the first glimmers of spring. I know my Southern friends have been in defrost mode for a few weeks now, but the days are just now starting to feel a little longer here in Minnesota. It will still be a few weeks before I trade my Fisherman Crew for something a little lighter, but in the meantime, I will be dreaming of the days when I can wear the pieces from our Spring Collection (!!!). This collection has been one of my absolute favorites to curate as the fabrics we were able to source are just out of this world. If you’re like me and already thinking about MDW, cookouts, trips to the lake, and all the other glorious spring and summer activities that will be happening, allow me to introduce you to a few things you may want to wear to those events…

02. Knits, tweeds, and more knits…

As this business has grown, I have loved hearing your feedback on the styles and fabrics you love, and I’ve done my absolute best to incorporate as much of that feedback as I’m able. While the Eleanor Shirt and Shirt Dress have been brand staples since the beginning (and often dubbed the “gateway” pieces to Eleanor Leftwich), I have gotten feedback that you all wanted the Eleanor Shirt Dress in a short option with a shorter sleeve. Enter the Michele Dress. It has a roomier cut and classic silhouette just like the Eleanor Shirt Dress, but it is more suited for hotter days now! Also just like the Eleanor Shirt Dress, it does not have belt loops so you can place your sash exactly where you want it (or not wear one at all!). As for tweeds and knits, the majority of the feedback I get is that you all simply want more of it. That’s why in this collection, you will find new French tweeds (the same fabric that is used by some of the major design houses of the world), and lots of new knits. The knits are an Italian blend of 35% Merino Wool, 35% Cashmere, and 30% Silk as well as 100% Italian cotton. For the first time ever, you’ll find Eleanor Leftwich knit skirts and dresses that I think you all will love, and there are also new cardigans, shells, and more wraps!

03. How I’ll be wearing these pieces…

As always, I try to create pieces that don’t need much extra styling, as in, I never want you to have to go buy more clothes to be able to wear mine. I do my absolute best to make sure pieces coordinate from collection to collection so things can be mixed and matched over time. However, I do love to accessorize. Here’s what I’ll be pairing with these pieces all spring and summer long. For a dressier moment and for those that love gold jewelry, these Peony Studs or Remy Drops from A. B. Ellie are perfection. I’ll be styling these with everything from the Michele Dress to the Lou Lou Blazer and so many things in between. If gold is not your style, then pearls are the way to go (in my opinion). I love this bracelet, necklace, and earrings all from Filigree Jewelers. I love how these pair with the tweeds, especially the Melon tweed; the blue complements the pearls so well. Last but not least - shoes. Not to sound like a broken record, but you guys know that it’s always Manolos when I need a heel and always Castañer espadrilles when I need something more casual. One of my favorite combinations is pairing my espadrilles with my Dunie Shorts and my Manolos with the Susie Pants, but you can mix and match with so many other pieces from the collection!
