01. The most wonderful time of the year?
I have a confession. When it comes to the holidays, I can be a bit of a Scrooge. Don’t get me wrong, there are so many joyous moments during this season, especially having a house full of young children, but let’s be real: the holidays are a lot to manage. There comes a point every December where I’m 10 holiday events in with 10 to go that I start praying for January to hurry up and get here. There’s a fine line between the most wonderful time of the year and the most stressful time of the year, and in between hosting, traveling, and gift exchanges, the last thing I want to be worrying about is what to wear on all these occasions. Enter the holiday collection.

02. The gift that keeps on giving.
With every collection release, I always strive to create pieces that will look as chic and beautiful this year as they will next year and the year after that. The holiday collection is no exception. Building on last year’s collection of silhouettes, this year’s collection focuses on the fabrications first (as always!). I worked once again with a mill owned by Hermès in France and was able to source a very special jacquard. It was love at first sight! I am always a sucker for a beautiful Italian tweed - especially around the holidays - and am so excited about a limited-edition jacquard lamé from Como, Italy in a fun monochromatic leopard. Last, but not least, I will be living in the leopard print (also from Italy!) all season long - and beyond - because I consider leopard a neutral!
I was fortunate to be able to call on my dear friends from Filigree Jewelers to loan me a few of my wishlist items (hopefully my husband has an eagle eye on these photos!) to pair with this collection. I feel naked without earrings and a cocktail ring (yes, even for day), but I also selected some insanely good necklaces that look like they were made for these pieces!
03. The Big Three (and what I’d wear to them)
We host a lot during the holidays and our family is not only big, but we all live less than 20 minutes from one another. My husband loves to cook, I like to clean and set the table, and everyone brings something delicious to share. I always choose an outfit that will make hosting a breeze – as well as something that can accommodate filling up on all the fixings. I can’t decide between the new Caroline dress or the Britty dress for Thanksgiving, but I did attend a fundraiser recently and wore the leopard Eleanor shirt and coordinating Carrie Pants to rave reviews! Post-party season, I’ll snap off the feather trim and pair the Carrie Pants with my beloved cashmere knits for date night. My goal is always to make styling options endless so that your cost per wear is pennies on the dollar!
